Morgan's fundraising page for Alopecia UK Donate Nearly two years ago, I was diagnosed with alopecia, during a particularly turbulent period of my life. It’s a journey that has taught me a lot about resilience, but it’s also highlighted the importance of raising awareness and offering support to others going through the same experience. I’ve set up this fundraising page to support Alopecia UK, your donations will go directly towards initiatives that provide essential resources, funding for research, and advocacy for those impacted by alopecia. In June 2023, I developed alopecia out of nowhere. One day, I suddenly noticed a patch of hair missing, and from there, it only grew larger. Nearly a quarter of the back of my hair was gone. It came at a time when my life was already extremely stressful—between work, relationships, family, and health issues, everything felt turbulent. The alopecia compounded my stress, and despite trying multiple procedures, nothing seemed to help. In fact, it only seemed to get worse, which led to even more anxiety.I was fortunate to have a friend in the medical field who was able to provide me with the treatment that helped my hair start growing back. However, these treatments were incredibly expensive, and without my friend’s support, I wouldn’t have been able to access the help I needed.Alopecia is an unpredictable condition that can return at any time, and that uncertainty is something that’s both frightening and challenging to deal with. My experience has shown me the importance of raising awareness and providing support to those who are facing similar battles. That’s why I want to fundraise for Alopecia UK.
