Other ways to support:

  • Corporate donations
All donations, big or small, make a huge difference to small charities like Alopecia UK.  Support from your business can help us to continue to grow and develop. Wherever possible (and only if wanted) we can publicly acknowledge any donations given. Donations can be made directly here. Alternatively, please contact us if you wish to donate directly via bank transfer.
  • Free meeting spaces
Alopecia UK has a small staff team that works remotely. When we meet face-to-face, we require a space to do that and, unfortunately, meeting rooms can be expensive. If you could offer a free meeting space for up to 10 people midweek in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Glasgow or Edinburgh, we would love to hear from you. Alternatively, we also require larger meeting spaces for up to 15 people for two Saturdays a year for Trustee Board meetings in either London, Leeds or Manchester. If you think you can help in any way, please email [email protected]
  • Gifts in kind
Gifts in kind are a great way to utilise your businesses skills and/or products. Examples of gifts in kind would be providing your abilities in filmmaking, graphic design, photography etc. to help us create new resources.

  • Employee fundraising
Engaging your employees in staff fundraising can be a fantastic way to get involved with the charity, work together as a team and have fun! We have lots of exciting ways you can get involved with fundraising here.  Charity fundraising in the workplace in a great way to boost morale within the staff team and an opportunity for brilliant PR with your customers and local communities.

  • Matched giving
Matched giving is when an employer boosts the fundraising efforts of their staff by offering to match the money raised. This is sometimes pound for pound or up to a capped value.

  • Event sponsorship
Alopecia UK typically hosts events throughout the year. Many of these come with opportunities to sponsor certain aspects of the event. We would be open to listening to businesses about ways they might wish to support Alopecia UK with the costs associated with our events.

  • Payroll giving
Payroll giving is a way for your employees to give money to charity without paying tax on it. It must be paid through PAYE from someone’s wage or pension. There are payroll giving agencies who can help employers offer this to their staff. You can find out more about setting up Payroll Giving here.

If you would like any more information or have questions about any the above, please email [email protected]
