Share Your Alopecia Story

Your experience could help someone feel less alone

Thank you for considering sharing your story with Alopecia UK. Every experience with alopecia is unique, and hearing from people with different journeys can make a real difference.

There is no single way to tell your story. Whether your experience has been challenging, uplifting, or a mix of both, sharing it honestly can help others feel seen, supported, and less isolated. You don’t need to be a writer — just speaking from the heart is enough. Your blog could even be in the form of a letter written to someone struggling with alopecia - what would you want to say to them?

By sharing your story, you are helping to build a stronger, more connected community where people with alopecia can find understanding, advice, and hope.

We would love to have a variety of experiences represented on our website and social media.

We’re particularly keen to hear from people with different types of alopecia, including scarring alopecias and pattern hair loss. We also want to share the experiences of under-represented groups, including people from diverse ethnic backgrounds, to better reflect the full range of experiences in our community.

You can choose how much you share, whether your story is published anonymously, and how your story may be used.
