Kiera fundraising page for Alopecia UK Donate Hi everyone, on the 27th September I will be doing a sponsored 5k run. For those who know me know I am definitely not a runner. I don’t even run for the train, but I wanted to do something I knew would challenge me in every way possible whilst also raising money for a charity that is extremely close to my heart, Alopecia UK. A few weeks after my 24th birthday I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. And in a matter of weeks I lost just over 60% of my hair. This diagnosis turned my family and my world upside down in every way possible. This condition has been a big part of my life for the past year and a half, and while it comes with its many challenges, it’s also shown me the strength of family and the importance of support. Alopecia UK is a small charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia. By donating, you will be helping fund research, raise awareness, and provide vital resources for those affected.Every step I take in this run is for every person young and old, living with alopecia. Thank you so much for your support! Kiera Patel Manage Cookie Preferences
