Before getting alopecia I had never heard of Alopecia UK. In the past three years I’ve used the face to face support groups, online support groups, social media sites and more recently started volunteering (something that has also helped me immensely).

This year marks Alopecia UK’s 20th anniversary and the theme is ‘Strength in Numbers’. With that in mind, this year we are a team of 11 that are going to (virtually) cover 1200 miles over the month of September. Walking, running, swimming, jumping, dancing. . . Any means possible!

We’ve gone for 12️⃣0️⃣miles as a nod to the 20th anniversary 🩵 that’s the equivalent to walking to Mount Etna in Sicily 🇮🇹

Anything my team and I can raise will be amazing, but as this is my third year of fundraising I’m hoping to reach a minimum of £300.
