I am running the London Marathon (42.2 km / 26.2 miles) in April 2026 to support Alopecia UK. Growing up, my sister had alopecia, a hair loss condition, and I saw first-hand how challenging it was for her—made even harder by the lack of awareness and support around the condition. Because of this, I was truly delighted to discover Alopecia UK, a small charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by alopecia.

While some of you may know that I run casually on weekends, training for my first marathon is a very different challenge. It will require months of work on my endurance, physical strength, and mental resilience. Any fundraising support, no matter how small, will help motivate me through this journey while also supporting the work that Alopecia UK does.

Please note that I independently secured my marathon place, and all donations go directly to Alopecia UK—they do not contribute towards my costs of running the marathon. Sidharth Gupta
