This December, we invite you to support Alopecia UK in raising much-needed funds. We are hoping to decorate a special AUK Christmas Tree, and we would love for you to help us light it up with love and generosity. Your donations will go into our general charity pot, allowing us to continue our work to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through our aims of Support, Awareness and Research.

How will getting involved make a difference?

🎄 Switch on a light: £5 or more
Switching on a light on our tree could help us to provide vital support to people struggling with the emotional and physical impact of hair loss. This includes our website, email and phone support, all of which are often described as a ‘lifeline’.

🎄 Hang a Bauble: £20 or more
Hanging a bauble on our tree could help us with the running costs of our face-to-face and online peer support groups. It could also help us to create educational and awareness resources for the wider community about alopecia to help increase understanding and reduce stigma.

🎄 Place a Present Underneath the Tree: £50 or more
Placing a present underneath our tree could help to fund research projects seeking to find answers. Or support our advocacy efforts to campaign for fairer treatment pathways for all affected by alopecia.

🎄 Put the Star on Top: £250 or more
The generous individual, or perhaps business, who puts the star at the top of our tree could help us to run our popular flagship events of Big Weekend and Alton Towers, both of which return in 2025. These events can be ‘life-changing’ for attendees.

How to Get Involved

You may decide to make your Christmas donation in tribute to a loved one who is affected by alopecia. Or perhaps use this as an opportunity to recognise the support you have received from Alopecia UK. Or you might consider a donation in lieu of buying and posting Christmas cards to your family and friends.

Whatever your reason for donating, you have the option to leave a personal message and photo if you would like to. You are also able to place a decoration on our tree anonymously if you prefer.

Please note, there are limited numbers of each decoration. If we fill our tree (we can dare to dream!), a second tree will become available.

If the decoration you wanted to add to our tree is no longer available, please consider adding a different one. If you are feeling generous, you may wish to add more than one decoration (you will be given the option to ‘add another item’ to your basket before checkout).

This Christmas, help Alopecia UK to bring light, joy, and hope to people living with alopecia. We can only do the work we do with the generosity of our community. We hope, that with your help, we can light up the AUK Christmas Tree.
