Join Us in Shaping Alopecia Conversations

Alopecia UK is excited to announce a series of engaging webinars designed to offer support and insights for anyone affected by alopecia. Our aim is to answer common questions, explore options, and provide a platform for dynamic discussions with expert speakers and community members.

Be Part of Our Live Panel Discussions

We are currently seeking individuals willing to share their unique experiences as part of live panel discussions. You don’t need to be an experienced public speaker—your honest story is what matters.

Upcoming Webinars in 2026

The plan is for all our webinars to take place in the evening, start times may vary depending on availability but we are aiming to start between 7pm-8pm. All webinars will be around one hour long.

  • Tuesday 8th September: Can Stress Cause Hair Loss?
  • Monday 5th October: JAK Inhibitors: Who Can Get Them and How?
  • Tuesday 10th November: My Child Has Alopecia: How Do We Decide About Treatment?
  • Monday 7th December: Trichologist or Dermatologist: Who Should I See?

What kinds of experiences are we hoping to include?

We’re seeking diverse experiences that reflect the variety of journeys within the alopecia community. Whether your story is centred around personal decisions, specific treatments, emotional challenges, or advice, we want to hear from you.

Can Stress Cause Hair Loss?

We would like to hear from people who noticed hair loss during or following a stressful period; people who believed stress may have been a factor (or not a factor but were told it was), whether or not this was confirmed; people who have experienced the emotional impact of hair loss; people who have found ways to manage stress or uncertainty.

JAK Inhibitors: Who Can Get Them and How?

We would like to hear from people who are receiving JAK inhibitors through the NHS or privately; people who have seen hair regrwoth or those that have seen little to no growth; people who were not eligible; people who decided against treatment; people with different experiences of benefits, side effects, access or decision-making.

My Child Has Alopecia: How Do We Decide About Treatment?

We would like to hear from parents and carers who chose treatment; parents and carers who decided not to; families whose child helped make the decision; young adults willing to reflect on decisions made when they were children.

Trichologist or Dermatologist: Who Should I See?

We would like to hear from people with different diagnosis and support journeys, including those who saw a GP, trichologist, dermatologist or more than one professional, and those who experienced delays, uncertainty or helpful support.
