True Crowns: Alopecia Photography Exhibition In May 2025, photographer Isaac Qureshi will be displaying a series of portraits from his True Crowns documentary project. Isaac travelled throughout the UK, meeting with volunteers with alopecia and making portraits, aiming to reclaim and reimagine the profound beauty of self-discovery. The exhibition, which was facilitated by a grant provided to Isaac by Alopecia UK, will run on Saturday 10th May and Sunday 11th May 2025, 9am - 5pm, at Stokey Pop Up, 147 Stoke Newington High St, London N16 0NY. If you're able to attend, please get the dates in your diary as Isaac would be delighted to welcome you to view his work. The project was borne out the alopecia experience of Isaac's wife Katherine, who has had alopecia for a number of years: "Watching Katherine's journey with alopecia, it struck me how few alopecia stories are told and portrayed artistically. I was keen to make the scope of the project as wide as possible and have met a huge number of incredibly strong, powerful and courageous individuals dealing with alopecia in their every day lives from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I feel honoured to have been able to listen to so many inspiring and honest stories, and I am so excited to display these portraits for the general public and hope to stimulate engagement with the alopecia community and beyond."
